09 Apr Inflexible yet strong. Welcome to the journey.

I have been doing Moksha Yoga off and on for a little bit now. I live just up the street from the NDG studio! I'm excited to up my game and start taking this stuff a little more seriously. Water polo makes me strong but inflexible. I cannot believe some of the stretches these yoga girls can pull off! Flexibility will give me more range of motion, prevent injury and help me sleep better (lower back tension=eeek). So, let's see if I can do this.And perhaps yoga will help calm my mind 'cause it races regularly. And maybe help me consider what I eat more often--if you show up full of yuckiness, you're done. We have all heard the saying, shoot for the stars, and if anything, you'll land on the moon. It's pretty inspirational, and it teaches us to dream big. I kinda feel like I'm living it, actually. My goals are among the stars, and I'm currently moon-walking. Above the earth yet still on the moon. I wonder, though, if it would be awful to think that we can shoot for the stars and, if anything, end up in another galaxy? Is it too much to think we can exceed our expectations, that things can be even better than we have ever imagined?...

I saw Justin Timberlake on MTV a few years ago telling an interviewer that he was twenty-something and already living his dreams. He seemed almost taken aback in vocalizing that truth. Wow, I thought. That is incredible! The smile he brought to my face eventually dulled as my progression of thought led me to long for the day I could say, “I am living my dreams.”Say it to yourself. “I am living my dreams.” It really is something to be able to say that, isn’t it?
